The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Matthew 12:1-10

12:1 - And then Jesus went through the corn on sabbath day, and his disciples were hungry and started to eat the corn.

12:2 - When the Pharisees saw what he disciples were doing, they said to Jesus, your disciples are breaking the law on the sabbath day.

12:3 - But he reminded them, haven’t you read about what David did when he and those with him were hungry;

12:4 - How dare he and his companions enter the house of God and eat the shewbread when only the priests are allowed to eat the shewbread?

12:5 - Have you not read in the law where it says that on sabbath days the priests in the temple are able to act against the law and cannot be blamed for it.

12:6 - But I’m telling you that there is someone in this place that is more important than the temple.

12:7 - But if you knew the meaning of the saying, I will have mercy, not sacrifice, then you would have not brought charges on the innocent.

12:8 - Jesus is the Lord, even on the holy day.

12:9 - When he left, he went into the synagogue:

12:10 - And, look, there was a man with a withered hand. And they demanded an answer from him, asking, Is it against the law to heal during the days of the sabbath? so that they could possibly accuse him.

Matthew 12:11-20

12:11 - And He said to them, Who among you, if you had only one sheep, and that sheep fell into a pit on the Sabbath, would not rescue it?

12:12 - Of how much more value is a man when compared to that of sheep? So you see, it is okay to labor on the Sabbath if it is to do a good deed.

12:13 - Then He said to the man, Hold your hand out to Me. So the man stretched it out to Jesus; and straightaway it was completely regenerated, as good as his other hand.

12:14 - The Pharisees then left, and began a council against him, to find a way to destroy him.

12:15 - When Jesus found out, he went away from there. The crowd followed him, and he healed all of them.

12:16 - He made them promise not to reveal him.

12:17 - The prophet Esaias said it might be fulfilled, said,

12:18 - Look at my worker, anointed by me; my delight, who makes my heart rejoice: I will bless him, and he shall be a light to the non-Jews.

12:19 - He will not struggle or cry and no one in the streets will hear him call out.

12:20 - And he can not break a bruised reed, and smoking flax shall not quench, till he makes victory out of judgment.

Matthew 12:21-30

12:21 - And the nations should trust in his name.

12:22 - They brought him a man who was blind, dumb, and possessed by a devil, and he healed the man so that he saw and spoke again.

12:23 - The people were amazed and said, Are you the Son of David?

12:24 - But when Pharisees heard, they said, this man doesn’t banish devils, but by Beelzebub is the prince of devils.

12:25 - Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he told them that every civil war will end in destruction.

12:26 - Suppose that Satan decides to give up his old identity and no longer has that identity, how will he support his rule?

12:27 - If I cast my devils out by Beelzebub, how will your children do the same? in result they will be your judgment.

12:28 - With the Spirit of God I can cast out demons, then God’s kingdom has come to you.

12:29 - In order to break into a strong man’s house, you must first tie him up.

12:30 - He who is against me is not with me, and he that does not gather with me will be scattered abroad.

Matthew 12:31-40

12:31 - I am telling you, Every kind of sin and disrespect against God will be forgiven: but you won’t be forgiven for sacrilege against the Holy Spirit.

12:32 - Those who speak against the Son of man will be forgiven, but those who speak against the Holy Ghost will never be forgiven, in this world or the next.

12:33 - You must pick one to to indulge: either the tree or the fruit must be worthwhile, because the tree’s fruit is what it is known by.

12:34 - How can the wicked speak good, when it is from the heart that the mouth draws its words?

12:35 - A good man can only give the world the good that is inside him just like an evil man can only give the world the evil that is inside him.

12:36 - I advise you that every single word men speak, they will be judged on those words on the day of judgment.

12:37 - With words you will be justified, and with words you will be condemned.

12:38 - Then a certain few of the scribes and Pharisees asked for a sign.

12:39 - But he replied and told them, A wicked and immoral generation is looking for a sign; but there will not be any sign, except for a warning from the prophet Jonas.

12:40 - Just like Jonas was trapped for three days and nights in the belly of a great fish, so too will the Son of man spend three days and three nights in the earth.

Matthew 12:41-50

12:41 - The biblical people of Nineveh will look down on us and scorn us, for they changed their evil ways when Jonas preached to them. But we have a greater Jonas among us and we have not repented.

12:42 - The Devil rose to hear a wise man, but found one even wiser.

12:43 - When a demonic spirit is cast out from someone, the spirit travels through dry places, looking for somewhere to rest, but there is no rest.

12:44 - Then he said, I will go back home again; and when he returns, it is empty and clean, ready for him to move back in.

12:45 - As he goes, he takes along seven more spirits that are more evil than he is, and they come back in together and remain there: and that man ends up being in worse condition than he was before. This is similar to how it will be with this wicked generation.

12:46 - His mom and brothers waited outside to talk to him while he talked to the people.

12:47 - Someone then told him that his mother and his brothers were outside waiting to speak to him.

12:48 - He answered, Who is my mother and who are my brothers?

12:49 - Jesus reached his hands out to his disciples and said to them This is my mother and my brothers!

12:50 - Anybody who does the will of my heavenly Father, these people are just like my brother, sister and mother.
