Mark 3:1-10

Mark 3:1 - When he went back into the synagogue he saw a man with a crippled hand.

Mark 3:2 - And they watched to see whether he would perform a healing on the sabbath day so that they could say he had broken the law.

Mark 3:3 - And he spoke to the man that the crippled hand, stand up and come forward.

Mark 3:4 - And he implored them: Should one do good on the sabbath days, or do evil? Save life, or take it? But they did not respond.

Mark 3:5 - He looked upon them all with anger and was seized with grief over their hard-heartedness but he asked the man to stretch out his hand. And when the man did so, the hand became whole again, just as his other hand.

Mark 3:6 - And the Pharisees went out looking to get information from the Herodians about how they might go about destroying him.

Mark 3:7 - Jesus left with his disciple and traveled to the sea followed by a large crowd from both Galilee and Judaea.

Mark 3:8 - When they heard about all the great things he had done, huge crowds came to see him from Jerusalem, Idumaea, and the regions of Tyre and Sidon, and other places far from Jordan.

Mark 3:9 - A small ship should be at his service, otherwise he will get mauled by the huge crowd of fans.

Mark 3:10 - Since he had healed so many others, they moved closer in order to touch him, because many of them were suffering from various diseases.

Mark 3:11-20

Mark 3:11 - When the unclean spirits saw him, they fell before him on their knees crying out, Thou art the Son of God.

Mark 3:12 - He told them right up front that they should not identify him to anyone.

Mark 3:13 - When he got to the top of the hill he called for his friends and they came.

Mark 3:14 - And he appointed twelve, that they should accompany him, and that he might send them out to preach.

Mark 3:15 - And to have the ability to cure the sick and to exorcise demons:

Mark 3:16 - He renamed Simon, calling him Peter;

Mark 3:17 - And he gave James, son of Zebedee, and James’ brother John the last name of Boanerges, which means the sons of thunder:

Mark 3:18 - And Andrew, Bartholomew, Mathew, Philip, Thaddaeus, Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Canaanite.

Mark 3:19 - Judas Iscariot as well, the traitor; and they walked into some house.

Mark 3:20 - And many people came, so that they could not even eat bread.

Mark 3:21-30

Mark 3:21 - When his friends heard about it they went to restrain him, saying to each other that he was out of his mind.

Mark 3:22 - And the scribes that had come down from Jerusalem said, He is of Beelzebub, and by the price of devils he is casting out devils.

Mark 3:23 - After gathering them around him, he spoke indirectly by asking them, How could it be possible for Satan to cast out himself from himself?

Mark 3:24 - If there is national turmoil, a nation will perish.

Mark 3:25 - If a house is fighting against itself, it will soon fall.

Mark 3:26 - And if Satan arises against his wishes, and be separated, he cannot stand, but must come to an end.

Mark 3:27 - No one can enter a strong man’s house and steal his possessions unless he ties the man up first and then robs his house.

Mark 3:28 - I am telling you the truth, All sins that a man can commit shall be forgiven, and their blasphemies that they blaspheme with:

Mark 3:29 - But he that speaks disrespectfully about the Holy Ghost will never be forgiven and is in danger of losing his soul.

Mark 3:30 - Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit which he doesn’t care what might be the effect.

Mark 3:31-35

Mark 3:31 - His brothers and his mother stood outside and called for him.

Mark 3:32 - The crowd sat around him and told him, Look, your mother and brothers are out looking for you.

Mark 3:33 - And he replied, Who is my mother, or my relatives?

Mark 3:34 - He looked around to find his mother and his brother.

Mark 3:35 - Because whoever does God’s will is my brother, sister, and mother.
