Mark 10:1-10

Mark 10:1 - He arose from his place and came into the borders of Judea on the farther side of Jordan. People sought him and he began to teach again.

Mark 10:2 - And the Pharisees went up to him and tempted him by asking if it was legal for a man the leave his wife.

Mark 10:3 - And he replied, What did Moses tell you to do?

Mark 10:4 - Moses was despondent to write a bill of divorce.

Mark 10:5 - And Jesus replied to the people saying, Because you are stubborn he created this law for you.

Mark 10:6 - But they have been male and female since God created the world.

Mark 10:7 - For this reason, a man will leave the house of his mother and father and be with his wife instead;

Mark 10:8 - Two people will become one, so that they are not any longer separate people but one person.

Mark 10:9 - What is joined by God should not be torn apart by men.

Mark 10:10 - And his disciples asked him the same question in the house.

Mark 10:11-20

Mark 10:11 - He told them, If you divorce your wife and marry someone else, you are still being unfaithful to your fist wife.

Mark 10:12 - And if a woman leaves her husband and remarries, she is committing adultery.

Mark 10:13 - And they brought young children to him, wanting him to touch them; and his disciples scolded those who brought the children.

Mark 10:14 - Jesus was very upset when he saw them sending them away and told them, Allow the children to come to me, for it is those that are child-like that are the Kingdom of God.

Mark 10:15 - I say to you truthfully that anyone who is not baptized as a child will not enter the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:16 - He put them all upon his arms and blessed them.

Mark 10:17 - And when he was walking down the road, a man came running, knelt in front of him, and asked, Teacher, what do I have to do to have eternal life?

Mark 10:18 - And Jesus asked him, Why do you say that I am good when only God is good.

Mark 10:19 - You know the rules. Do not sleep with another man’s wife. Do not murder anyone. Do not steal. Do not lie. Do not cheat anyone. be kind and respectful to your parents.

Mark 10:20 - I have seen these things since I was a child boss was his reply.

Mark 10:21-30

Mark 10:21 - Jesus looked at him and loved him than said, the one thing that you now must do is to sell all of your possessions, give the money to the poor, take up my burden and follow me; you will then build treasure in heaven.

Mark 10:22 - And that made him sad, and he went away feeling unhappy because he was wealthy and owned many fine things.

Mark 10:23 - And Jesus observed the people around him and advised his disciples that they with riches will not easily attain the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:24 - And the disciples were amazed by what he said. But Jesus repeated, Children, it is nearly impossible for a person who loves material wealth to enter into God’s kingdom!

Mark 10:25 - It would be easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than it would be for a rich man to attain the kingdom of God.

Mark 10:26 - They were very surprised and began to wonder out loud, Who can be saved?

Mark 10:27 - And while Jesus was looking upon them he made this statement, With men this is impossible, but not so with God; for nothing his impossible with God.

Mark 10:28 - Peter said to him, We gave up everything and went with you.

Mark 10:29 - In all truth, Jesus responded, there are no men who have left their homes, families, or country, either for me or for the greater principles of truth.

Mark 10:30 - Now he will receive 10 times the amount of houses, siblings, mothers, kids, and property, all with harassments, and in the next world he will get eternal life.

Mark 10:31-40

Mark 10:31 - However, a lot of the ones who are at the top now will eventually be at the bottom, and vice versa.

Mark 10:32 - And Jesus led the way to Jerusalem, and they were astonished, and as they followed, they felt scared. And he took the twelve aside again, and started to tell them what was going to happen to him.

Mark 10:33 - And he said, Now it is time for us to go to Jerusalem, where God’s Son will be handed over to the religious leaders and their assistants; and they will give him the death penalty, and send him to the Gentiles to be killed:

Mark 10:34 - They can make fun of him, punish him, spit on him and even kill him but three day later he will rise from the dead.

Mark 10:35 - James and John, sons of Zebedee, came to him and said, Master, you should do whatever we ask of you.

Mark 10:36 - He asked them, What is it that you want me to do for you?

Mark 10:37 - They asked him if the two of us can sit on either side of you and be happy

Mark 10:38 - But Jesus said to them, You don’t know what you’re asking. Can you drink out of the same cup as I do? And be baptized as I have been?

Mark 10:39 - They said to him, We can. Jesus then said to them, You will drink from the same cup that I do and you will be baptized from the same baptism.

Mark 10:40 - To sit at either my right or left hand is a gift that I can not offer, but it will be given to whom deserves it.

Mark 10:41-52

Mark 10:41 - They were very unhappy with both James and John after the ten of them learned about it.

Mark 10:42 - But Jesus gathered them around him, and told them, You know how that the Gentile rulers exercise lordship over the Gentiles; and the ones that they esteem as great exercise authority upon them.

Mark 10:43 - It won’t be one of your group except the very best of them will be your priest.

Mark 10:44 - And whichever one of you will be the leader should serve your people.

Mark 10:45 - For Jesus came not to be taken care of but to care for many others and to lay down his life on their behalf.

Mark 10:46 - And they arrived at Jericho with the disciples and a great crowd of people, and the son of Timaeus, blind Bartimaeus, sat by the roadside begging.

Mark 10:47 - And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he cried out and said, Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me.

Mark 10:48 - People told him to be quiet but he cried out even louder,You are the Son of David, be nice to me.

Mark 10:49 - And Jesus stood there and ordered them to call the blind man over. So they spoke to him, saying: It’s OK, get up, he wants you to go to him.

Mark 10:50 - Removing his clothes, he got up and went to Jesus.

Mark 10:51 - And Jesus answered and said him, what you want me to do? The blind man said to him, Lord. i wish to receive my sight.

Mark 10:52 - Jesus then addressed him saying, Go on your way as your faith has made you whole again. Instantly his vision was restored and he was compelled to follow Jesus from that time on.
