Luke 19:1-10

19:1 - And Jesus came into the place and traveled through Jericho.

19:2 - There was a man named Zacchaeus who was the head tax collector and who was rich.

19:3 - And he tried to see Jesus; but couldn’t see over the crowd, because he was a small man.

19:4 - Knowing that He was to pass that way, he ran before and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him.

19:5 - When Jesus got there, he looked up and saw Zacchaeus. He said to Zacchaeus, Hurry and come down here. I need to say at your house today.

19:6 - Then he quickly came down and welcomed him joyfully.

19:7 - The people who watched Jesus grumbled when they found out Jesus was visiting with a sinful man.

19:8 - Zacchaeus told Jesus, I try to be generous–I give half of everything I own to people in poverty and if I make a mistake and take something from someone, I give back four times what I took.

19:9 - And Jesus said to him: Salvation has come to your household today, since he also is a son of Abraham.

19:10 - To save that which was lost, the Son of man has come to find.

Luke 19:11-20

19:11 - As they heard this, he also told them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem, and because they thought the kingdom of God should appear immediately.

19:12 - He told a story of a nobleman who went to find his kingdom.

19:13 - He gathered all ten servants, paid them ten pounds, and told them to stay there till he returned.

19:14 - His own people despised him and sent word that would not accepts his rule.

19:15 - After he’d been given the kingdom and come back, he had others call his servants to him to see how much more money they had made off his original money while he was gone.

19:16 - The first came over and said, Lord, the pound that you gave me has been increased to ten pounds.

19:17 - And he said to him, Good servant, because you had one scintilla of faith, you will have governance over ten cities.

19:18 - The second person came and said, Lord, your pound has gained five pounds.

19:19 - And he also said to him, Be in charge of five cities.

19:20 - Another servant came to him and said, Master, here is the money you left with me, I have kept it safely hidden away for you:

Luke 19:21-30

19:21 - I was afraid of you, because you are so strict; you take the profit when you have not done the work, and the harvest that you did not plant.

19:22 - And he said to him, Your own words provide me with the reasons to condemn you, you evil, slothful servant. You knew that I am an investor, scraping up what I did not deposit in the first place, and harvesting what I didn’t even plant myself:

19:23 - What, you didn’t put my money into the bank to gather interest for my coming?

19:24 - And he told the bystanders, Take his and give it to those who have ten times as much.

19:25 - (They said to him, Lord, he has ten pounds.)

19:26 - I saw this to you, everyone that has will be given more; but everyone that has nothing, even that will be taken away from them.

19:27 - Bring to me any of those who would defy me and prefer that I not be their ruler and I will kill them.

19:28 - When he was finished speaking, he went in front of them, up the hill to Jerusalem.

19:29 - And so when he traveled by the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, near the hill of Olives, he dispatched tow of his apprentices,

19:30 - And he said, Go into the town near you and as you enter, you will find an unbroken horse that is tied: untie him and bring him to me.

Luke 19:31-40

19:31 - If anyone asks, Why did you let him go? you should answer, Because the Lord needs him.

19:32 - Those that were sent away went and found things just as He said they would be.

19:33 - As they were letting the colt go the owners asked them, Why are you untying the colt?

19:34 - And those who were together stated, The Lord needs him.

19:35 - They brought the donkey to Jesus, put their clothes on it and lifted Jesus onto it.

19:36 - As he stepped forward, they spread their clothes in front of him.

19:37 - When he drew near to the down slope of the mount of Olivse, everyone of his disciples rejoiced and began to praise God robustly because of every mighty feat they had witnessed.

19:38 - Spoken, The king that arrives in the name of the Lord will be blessed: peace in heaven, and the highest of glory.

19:39 - Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to him, Master, reprimand your followers.

19:40 - Answering he said that if they were quiet then the stones would start yelling.

Luke 19:41-48

19:41 - As he approached the city, he saw it, and cried bitterly.

19:42 - If you know those things which make you feel at peace, then please - for I am blind - list them in the data entry field below.

19:43 - The day will come when your enemies will trap you and surround you from every angle.

19:44 - And will lay you on the ground; and your children within you; and they will not leave in you one stone on the othet; because you don’t know the time of your visitation.

19:45 - And he entered the temple, and began to throw out those who were conducting business there;

19:46 - Telling them, It is written in the Scripture, My house is a place of prayer: but you have made it into a thieves’ hideout.

19:47 - He taught every day in the temple. However the leaders of worship, the scribes and the head of the congregation wanted to destroy him

19:48 - They could not find what they might do: every person was very excited to be apart of this lecture.
