John 20:1-10

John 20:1 - On the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene arrived at the burial vault early, while it was still dark, and she saw that the stone had been removed from the vault.

John 20:2 - She ran upon Simon Peter and another of Jesus’ beloved, and told them that the LORD had disappeared from his tomb and no one could find his body.

John 20:3 - Both Peter and the other disciple approached the sepulcher.

John 20:4 - They raced to the grave and John was faster than Peter and got there first.

John 20:5 - He looked down and saw the clothes were lying there; but he did not go in.

John 20:6 - Then Simon Peter followed him into the sepulcher and saw the linen clothing lying there,

John 20:7 - The cloth that was over his face was folded and set aside, not with the cloths that wrapped his body.

John 20:8 - Then the other disciple, the first to enter the sepulcher, looked down upon the grave, and believed.

John 20:9 - Because they didn’t know it was written that he would rise again after his death.

John 20:10 - Then his followers returned to their own homes.

John 20:11-20

John 20:11 - But Mary stood outside the tomb crying, and as she cried she leaned down and looked into the tomb,

John 20:12 - Two angels were seen sitting in white, at the head was one, and at the feet was the other, in the same place where Jesus laid.

John 20:13 - They said, how come you are crying, and she said, because I think they have taken Jesus’s body away and I don’t know where His body is.

John 20:14 - When she had finished speaking she turned around to see Jesus, but she did not know who he was.

John 20:15 - Jesus asked the Woman why she cried and for whom was she looking. She thought he was the gardener and said, Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you put him, and I will take him away.

John 20:16 - Jesus said to her, Mary she turned and replied to him Rabboni, this means Master.

John 20:17 - Jesus said to her, don’t touch me, because, I have not risen to Father yet, instead, you should go tell my brethren that I rise to the Father and God of us all.

John 20:18 - Mary Magdalene arrived and told the disciples that she had seen the LORD, and that he told her these things.

John 20:19 - Later that evening, while it was still the first day of the week, his followers met in a secret place (for they were afraid of the Jews), then Jesus appeared among them and said, Don’t be afraid.

John 20:20 - And as he told them, he also showed his hands and his side to them. Afterward, the disciples were happy, they realized it was the Lord.

John 20:21-31

John 20:21 - Just as God sent Jesus, he will send you.

John 20:22 - And as soon as he said this, he breathed on them, and told them, Accept the Holy Spirit:

John 20:23 - If you release a sin it is released and if you keep a sin it will be kept.

John 20:24 - But Thomas, a member of the twelve, referred to as Didymus, was absent from them when Jesus arrived.

John 20:25 - The disciples said, We have seen the LORD. But he said to them, unless I see the nail holes in his hand and unless I touch the nail holes and put my hand into his side where the spear pierced him, I don’t believe you.

John 20:26 - The doors being shut after eight days within his disciples Thomas and Jesus.

John 20:27 - He said to Thomas. Reach out and touch my hands and push your fingers into my side; have faith and believe.

John 20:28 - And Thomas replied to his question, My Lord as well as my God.

John 20:29 - Jesus said to Thomas, because you have seen me, you believe; blessed are those who have not seen me and still believe.

John 20:30 - And there are other miracles Jesus did with his disciples, but they are not included in this book.

John 20:31 - These things are written so you can have the chance to know that Jesus is Christ, the Son of God and that if you believe in him, through his name you can have eternal life.
