John 2:1 - On the third day, a wedding took place in Cana which is in Galilee, and Jesus’s mother was there.
John 2:2 - Jesus was invited to the wedding.
John 2:3 - When they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to him, They don’t have any wine.
John 2:4 - Jesus told her, Lady, how can I do this for you? my time to act has not arrived.
John 2:5 - His mother instructed the servants that they should do whatever he told them.
John 2:6 - And there were six stone waterppots set there, after the way of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firskins apiece.
John 2:7 - Fill the waterpots with water. Jesus said. And to the brim they filled.
John 2:8 - He told them to come out and bring it to the organizers of the feast, and so they came.
John 2:9 - The governor of the feast called the bridegroom when he tasted the water that was turned to wine because he did not know from where it came, but the servants who drew the water knew.
John 2:10 - And tell him, Every man starts out making good wine, and when men have drunk well, then what is worse: you have kept the good wine until now.
John 2:11 - In the town of Cana, in Galilee, did Jesus start his miracles, showing his light to all. His apprentices believed in him.
John 2:12 - Then he, his mother, his brothers, and his disciples all went to Capernaum; and the trip took a few days.
John 2:13 - And when the time of the Jewish passover came, Jesus left for Jerusalem.
John 2:14 - In the temple, he saw the people who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and he saw the people who changed money sitting there:
John 2:15 - And when he made a knotted ball of whips, he used it to drive away the people, the sheep and the oxen; poured out money from cash boxes, and knocked over all the tables in the temple.
John 2:16 - He told everybody selling things that he didn’t want them being sold at his Father’s home.
John 2:17 - And the disciples of him recalled the written words, The enthusiasm of your house has consumed me.
John 2:18 - Then the Jews asked him: What are you showing us by doing these things?
John 2:19 - Jesus answered them and told them to destroy the temple, and in three days I rebuild it.
John 2:20 - The Jews said, It took 46 years to build this temple and you are going to build it in three days? No way.
John 2:21 - Instead he told of the way his body was a temple.
John 2:22 - After Jesus rose from the dead, his disciples recalled what He had previously said to them as scripture and found it to be true.
John 2:23 - He was hanging out in Jerusalem eating food, drinking wine, and performing amazing feats - which drew unto him a great many interested parties.
John 2:24 - Jesus did not trust himself so he did not commit himself to them.
John 2:25 - Nobody needed to tell him about man because he already knew about man.
