John 17:1 - Jesus spoke these words and lifted his eyes up to heaven and said: Father, the time has come; glorify your son, so your son may glorify you:
John 17:2 - As you have given him authority over all beings, so he can give everlasting life to all those you provided him.
John 17:3 - And the true meaning of eternal is is this, that they get to know the real God, and his son Jesus, who you sent to earth.
John 17:4 - I have spread your glory everywhere in the world: I have completed the task that you asked of me.
John 17:5 - And now, God, glorify me with the same glory I enjoyed with you before the world began.
John 17:6 - I have showed you to the followers you gave me: they were yours first, and you gave them to me; and they have obeyed your commands.
John 17:7 - Now they know that all things that you have given me, are from you.
John 17:8 - I told them the message you gave me; and they received it, and they are convinced that I am a part of you, and they believe that you sent me.
John 17:9 - I pray for these people: I do not pray for the entire world, but I will pray for those you have given me because they belong to you.
John 17:10 - And all that are mine are yours, and all that are yours are mine and I am pleased with all of them.
