23:11 - Herod and his soldiers were cruel and disrespectful by mocking Him and making him wear clothing as if He were a king and then they sent him to Pilate again.
23:12 - And that same day, Pilate and Herod (who hated each other before), became friends.
23:13 - Then Pilate, when he had summoned the high priests, the rulers, and the masses,
23:14 - Said to them, You have brought this man before me as one who perverts the people: yet upon examining him in your presence, I find not fault in these acts of which you accuse him:
23:15 - Herod didn’t find that He had done anything against the law or worthy of capital punishment either.
23:16 - I’ll punish him then let him go.
23:17 - (Because it is necessary that he give them one during the feast.)
23:18 - The crowd yelled, take this man away and free Barrabus.
23:19 - (In the city who positively made sedition, because of murder, was sentenced to prison.)
23:20 - Then Pilate, was then open to release Jesus, spoke to them again.
