The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 21:1-10

21:1 - And he lifted his eyes up, and witnessed the wealthy men tossing their presents in store of treasures.

21:2 - He saw a particular poor widow throwing in her two small coins.

21:3 - And Jesus said, I tell you that this poor widow who has nothing much to give, has given more of what she can than the combined proportion of all of you.

21:4 - Even though many people believe in God and offer him abundantly, she lives in poverty and gives all she has to God.

21:5 - While some spoke about how adorned with goodly stones and gifts the temple was, he said,

21:6 - As for the things that you see, there will come a day when no stone will rest on any other stone, for they will all be knocked down.

21:7 - And they asked him, Master, when will these things happen? and how will we know when the time comes?

21:8 - And He said, Be careful that you don’t allow yourself to be fooled: many will come in my name, saying, ‘yes, I am the Christ’; and this when the end time is getting close: so don’t run after them.

21:9 - Don’t be afraid when you hear about wars and conflicts. These things will happen, but the end of the world is not near.

21:10 - Then he told them, Nation will fight against another nation, and kingdom against another kingdom.
