The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 14:11-20

14:11 - Whenever you blow yourself up for others you’ll get knocked down, but those who quietly work to do what is right will receive heavenly reward.

14:12 - He then said to the man that had invited him, ‘When you have a meal, don’t invite your friends, or your brothers, or your family, or even your rich neighbors, in case they invite you back, and your kindness is therefore repaid.’

14:13 - When you give a feast, invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, and the blind:

14:14 - You will be blessed spiritually when you give to people who cannot give material items back to you in trade. Instead of receiving material things in trade for your good deed, you will receive spiritual things of greater value at the resurrection.

14:15 - When another dinner guest hear him, hes said to him Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

14:16 - Then he spoke to the man, A person cooked a wonderful dinner, and called lots of people:

14:17 - And he asked his houseworker at the hour of dinner to ask them who were invited to come, for everything was in order to begin.

14:18 - Everyone began to make excuses: the first said, ‘I’ve just bought some land and need to go have a look; I’m afraid I’ll have to be excused’

14:19 - Somebody said, I have bought five pairs of domesticated bovine animals, and I go to show it to them: I hope they have me excused.

14:20 - And another man said that he could not come because he had married a wife.
