The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 13:1-10

13:1 - Some of the people who were with him at the time told him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

13:2 - And Jesus answered, saying to them: Do you think that these Galileans were the biggest sinners of all the Galileans just because they went through such terrible experiences?

13:3 - I say no. But unless you repent, you’ll all die just the same.

13:4 - As for the eighteen people who were killed when the tower of Siloam fell on them, do you believe that they were worse sinners than all the people that lived in Jerusalem?

13:5 - I am telling you, If you don’t ask for forgiveness from your sins, you will all die.

13:6 - He also spoke of this lesson; A man had a fig tree that was planted in his vineyard; he went to get fruit from it yet there were none.

13:7 - He spoke to his vineyard dresser, the three years that i have traveled looking for the fig tree with fruit, I haven’t found any: so chop it down, and not take up the ground space with it.

13:8 - And he replied, Master, let it sit idle this year too, until I can dig the field and fertilize it:

13:9 - And if it grows fruit, that’s good, and if not then you must cut it down.

13:10 - He was teaching in a temple on the week’s holy day.
