The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 12:11-20

12:11 - When you are brought to synagogues or to court or before powerful people, you don’t need to worry about how you respond:

12:12 - The Holy Ghost shall tell you what to say at the time you need to say it.

12:13 - And one of them said, Master, talk to my brother about sharing the inheritance with me.

12:14 - Then God asked who it was that decided he should be humanity’s judge or humanity’s divisor.

12:15 - Then he told them to take heed, and to beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist of the abundance of one’s possessions.

12:16 - He began to speak a parable to them saying, A certain rich man had fruitful fields:

12:17 - In his private thoughts, he said, What shall I do since I have no place to leave my legacy.

12:18 - And he promised, I pledge to do this: I am going to tear down the barns I have and build better ones; and in them I will put all the fruits and possessions I own.

12:19 - I will tell my soul, Soul, you have so much good within you, so relax and eat, drink and enjoy.

12:20 - But god said to him, you idiot, tonight your soul will be taken, then who will own the things you have provided?
