9:21 - And he told them directly, and instructed them never to repeat such a thing;
9:22 - By the third day, the Son of man will have suffered many things; rejection from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and lastly death, but on the third day he will be raised.
9:23 - He told them that if any man were to follow in his ways that they must deny worldly possessions and expect they would have troubles.
9:24 - For whoever saves his own life will one day lose it: but whoever loses his life for my sake shall save it.
9:25 - What good does it do for a man to gather worldly possessions if he doesn’t know the Lord as he will lose his reward in heaven.
9:26 - If anyone is ashamed by what I say, he or she will be shamed when the Son of man returns in triumph.
9:27 - I will tell you the truth, some will be standing here, who will not know death, until they have seen the kingdom of God.
9:28 - Eight days after it was said, Peter, John and James was taken up into a mountain to pray.
9:29 - As he prayed, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothing became white and glittering.
9:30 - Moses and Elias were talking with him.
