9:1 - Then he called a meeting with his twelve followers, and gave them the ability to cast out devils, and to heal sicknesses.
9:2 - And he sent them to worship the God’s kingdom, and asked them to heal the ill and suffering.
9:3 - And he said to them, Take nothing with you on your journey, not staves, scrip, bread, nor money; and do not take with you more than one coat apiece.
9:4 - And any house you enter, stay and then leave.
9:5 - If someone rejects you when you leave that town, you just shake the dust of that town off your feet so they know who they’ve rejected.
9:6 - So they left that town, and traveled on, preaching the good news and healing many wherever they went.
9:7 - Herod was confused when he heard that John had risen from the dead.
9:8 - And to some, Elias had appeared, and to others, one of the old prophets had risen.
9:9 - Then Herod said, I have had John killed; but who is the man I keep hearing about? And Herold wanted to meet him.
9:10 - When the apostles came back, they told him what they did. Then, he and the apostles all traveled together to the privacy of the desert near the city of Bethsaida.
