7:21 - He helped many and cured their illnesses.
7:22 - Jesus said to them, Go and tell John what you have seen and heard, that the blind can see and the handicapped can walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf can hear, the dead live again an d the gospel is preached to the poor people.
7:23 - Blessed is the man or woman who isn’t offended by me.
7:24 - And when John’s couriers had left, he began to talk to the people about himself, What did you come out to the wilderness to see? A reed being whipped about by the wind?
7:25 - But what were you looking to see? A man finely dressed? Behold, those who are luxuriously dressed and live in comfort are to be found in the kings’ courts.
7:26 - Were you looking for a prophet? I told you you’d find more than a prophet.
7:27 - This is the one whose coming was foretold, Look, I am sending a messenger before you, who will make everything ready for you.
7:28 - I am telling you that John the Baptist is the greatest prophet among men: but in the kingdom of God all are greater than he.
7:29 - And everyone who listened to him, including the publicans, thought it was right of God, being baptized by John being baptized.
7:30 - The Pharisees and attorneys refused the counseling of the Lord concerning them, as they had not been baptized unto the Lord.
