The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 7:1-10

7:1 - When he finished speaking to the crowd, he went into Capernaum.

7:2 - And a centurion’s servant, that he loved very much, was sick and about to die.

7:3 - And when he heard about Jesus, he sent the elders of the Jews to see Jesus and beg him to come and heal his servant.

7:4 - Jesus helped because the man was worthy.

7:5 - Because he loves our country he created a synagogue for us.

7:6 - As Jesus approached the centurion’s house his friends approached the Messiah to relay the message that he was not worthy of having Christ enter his home.

7:7 - I’m not Jewish and I don’t deserve to have you visit my house, but I know that if you say a single word, my servant will be made whole.

7:8 - Though I have soldiers under me, I am also just a man under someone else’s control. I tell one man to go, and he goes. I tell another man to come, and he comes. I tell my servant what to do and he does it.

7:9 - When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and turned him towards the crowd and said, I have never seen such a strong faith, not even in Israel

7:10 - When they returned home they found that the sick servant was now healthy and well.
