The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 6:1-10

6:1 - After the second sabbath day, he passed through the corn fields; and his disciples picked ears of corn and ate them, rubbing them with their hands.

6:2 - And one of the Pharisees said to them, Why do you do things that it is not lawful for you to do on the sabbath days?

6:3 - Jesus answered them, saying Haven’t you heard what David did when he and his companions were hungry?

6:4 - He went into the temple and took the showbread and ate it, sharing it with those with him, even thought it is illegal for anyone but the priests to eat it.

6:5 - And he said to them, The Son of man is the Lord of the sabbath.

6:6 - Another sabbath passed and he went to the synagogue and taught: there was a man who had a withered right hand.

6:7 - The scribes and Pharisees were observing Jesus to see whether He would heal on the day of worship, so that they could find a way and reason to accuse him of doing something that goes beyond the law of God.

6:8 - He knew what they were thinking and said to the man with the crippled hand, Stand up in the middle of these people. And he stood up and did so.

6:9 - Then Jesus said to them, I will ask you something; Is it right to do good or evil on the sabbath days? to save a life, or to take it away?

6:10 - An looking at all the people, Jesus said to the man, put out your hand. The man put out his hand and his hand was cured and looked just like his other one.
