The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Luke 5:11-20

5:11 - After the ship landed, they followed him.

5:12 - As time went by, when he was in a specific city, he saw a man with leprosy: when the man saw Jesus he got down in a prostrate position and begged him, saying, Lord if you want to, you can heal me.

5:13 - As he touched him he said I will: you are healed. And he was immediately free of leprosy.

5:14 - He advised him to tell no one: but to go to the priest and offer oneself up for cleansing, as Moses commanded them.

5:15 - When the people in the land had heard of his great teachings and miracles many came to hear him speak and to be healed.

5:16 - Jesus went away to be alone and pray.

5:17 - As he was talking to some eager listeners, he became aware of many onlookers from nearby towns, men of professional stature, also intrigued by his words.

5:18 - They brought before him a bed-ridden man who suffered from a palsy.

5:19 - And at the time the people were unable to think of a path they could take to present the man before Jesus because of the crowd, they climbed onto the roof, and lowered the man down on a stretcher so he could be in Jesus’ presence.

5:20 - When he saw how strong their faith was, he said until him, Man, I forgive you for your sons.
