5:1 - Standing by the lake of Gennesarat, crowds came to listen to him speak about the word of God.
5:2 - And then two boats at the edge of the water came into view, but no one was seen in the crafts, as the people were away cleaning their nets.
5:3 - And he boarded one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked that he push out from shore. He then sat down, and taught the people from aboard the boat.
5:4 - He then left speaking, Simon was told, Go out into the deep, then let your nets down for a drought.
5:5 - And Simon answered, Boss, we’ve worked all night for nothing but, since you said so, I’ll cast the net again.
5:6 - After they had done this, they caught so many fish that their net broke.
5:7 - And they called to their partners on the other ship to come and help them. Their partners came, and they filled both of the ships with fish, and both ships started to sink.
5:8 - And at the time it came into Peter’s view, he dropped in front of Jesus and said, Leave me; for I am unworthy and a sinner, my God.
5:9 - For he was astonished, as were all of them, at the amount of fish that they had taken:
5:10 - Zebedee’s sons, James and John, were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, Don’t worry; from now on you’ll catch men instead of fish.
