28:1 - Toward the end of the Sabbath, near dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
28:2 - And there was a huge earthquake, because the angel of the Lord had come down from heaven and rolled the stone away from the door, and sat on it.
28:3 - His whole appearance was electrifying in its brilliance, and his garments snow white.
28:4 - The keepers feared him and shook like dead men.
28:5 - And the angel replied to the woman, Don’t be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.
28:6 - He is no longer in the tomb because he has risen from the dead as he prophesied. Let’s go and view the tomb where Jesus had been.
28:7 - Go and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead and is on hos way to Galilee. You will see him there.
28:8 - They left the tomb rapidly with both fear and happiness and ran to tell the disciples.
28:9 - On the way to tell his disciples, Jesus himself met them. They immediately fell upon him and worshiped him.
28:10 - Then Jesus told them, Don’t be afraid: go instruct my brothers to go to Galilee, and we’ll re-connect there.
