27:21 - The governor responded and asked them, Which one of these two should I let go? They told him, Barabbas.
27:22 - When Pilate asked what should be done with Jesus, everyone said Let him be crucified.
27:23 - And the prefect asked Why, what crime has this man committed? But the crowd insisted even more strongly that he be crucified.
27:24 - When Pilate saw that he could not change their minds, he washed his hands before the crowd saying, I am innocent of the blood of this righteous man. Do it yourselves.
27:25 - Then all the people answered, saying we are to blame and our children will also be punished for our deeds.
27:26 - Then he let Barabbas go free: when he had beaten Jesus, he sent him off to be crucified.
27:27 - The governor’s soldiers then took Jess into the common hall, they then gathered unto him all of the soldiers.
27:28 - A scarlet robe he was put into after being stripped.
27:29 - They put the crown of thorns on his head after they had finished making it, and put a reed in his right hand. They bowed mockingly and called Hail King of the Jews!
27:30 - They hit him about the head, all the while spitting on him.
