27:11 - As Jesus stood in front of the governor, he was asked Are you the King of the Jews? To which Jesus replied, If you said so.
27:12 - When the senior members of the synagogue laid their charges against him, he remained silent.
27:13 - Then Pilate asked him, Haven’t you heard all the things said against you?
27:14 - He answered without speaking, which amazed the governor immensely.
27:15 - Now in the feast the Governor didn’t like to acquit a prisoner unto the masses, whom they expected most.
27:16 - Barabbas was a notable prisoner of his time.
27:17 - When they were all gathered, Pilate said to them, Which one do you want me to release? Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?
27:18 - Because he knew that they turned him in because they were jealous of him.
27:19 - When he was sitting down on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message that said, Have nothing to do with that fair man, because I have had a nightmare because of him.
27:20 - But the priests and leaders persuaded the people that they should ask Barabbas and that they should turn against and destroy Jesus.
