14:61 - But he remained silent. Again the priest demanded, Are you Christ, the Son of the Blessed?
14:62 - And Jesus said, I am: and you are going to see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, coming in the clouds of heaven.
14:63 - The high priest then tore his clothes and said, what is the need of any more witnesses?
14:64 - You have heard all the lies, so what of it? Everyone agrees that he has killed someone.
14:65 - The servants not only struck at him with their hands but spat on him enough to cover his faces saying to him, Prophesy.
14:66 - And since Peter was in the palace, one of the female attendants of the high priest came:
14:67 - And when she saw Peter trying to get warm, she went to him and told him that she knew he was with Jesus of Nazareth.
14:68 - But he said that he didn’t know him and that he didn’t understand what the man was talking about, and when he went out onto the porch, the rooster crowed.
14:69 - When she saw them, the maid said that of the group nearby, he was one of them.
14:70 - Peter denied it a second time, but they asked him yet again if he was not one of the disciples because he was a Galilean and he spoke like one of them.
14:71 - I know not this man of whom ye speak, he insisted, cursing and swearing.
14:72 - And the rooster crowed a second time. And Peter remembered what Jesus had said, Before the rooster crows twice, you will have betrayed me three times. And when he reflected on this, he cried.
