14:41 - And he returned to them for the third time and reminded them to rest and sleep because the time had arrived; the Son of man would be betrayed and handed over to false accusers.
14:42 - Come on, let’s go; the traitor is nearby.
14:43 - Immediately, while he yet spoke, Judas, one of the twelve, came with a great crowd bearing swords and staves, coming from the commands of the cheif priests, scribes, and elders.
14:44 - Then the betrayer told them what his signal would be. He said: The man you see me kiss will be the one. Grab him and carefully take him away.
14:45 - And when he arrived in the garden, he went straight to Jesus, and said, Teacher, teacher; and greeted him warmly.
14:46 - And their hands were placed upon him, and they carried him away.
14:47 - In the crowd, one came forward and struck the priest’s slave with a sword, slicing off his ear.
14:48 - And Jesus replied, Have you come with swords and staves to capture me like an outlaw?
14:49 - was with you every day, teaching in the temple and you left me alone: still the scriptures must be fulfilled.
14:50 - They all ran away and abandoned him.
