Mark 12:31-40

12:31 - The second one is that you should love your neighbor as you love yourself; there are no greater commandments.

12:32 - And the scribe said to him, Well, Master, you have told the truth, because there is only one God.

12:33 - And to love him with your whole heart, mind and soul, and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself, is worth more than all offerings and sacrifices.

12:34 - And when Jesus observed his discretion, he said to him, You are not far from God’s kingdom. And after that nobody dared to question him.

12:35 - Jesus taught in the temple and said, How say the scribes that Christ is the son of David?

12:36 - David proclaimed, The Holy Ghost has told me that the LORD said to my Lord, sit on my right, until I make your enemies into your footstool.

12:37 - David called him the Lord; is he his son? After hearing this the people celebrated.

12:38 - He told them through his teachings, watch out for the lawyers, who love to walk around in long baggy clothes, and love drawn-out greetings at the store,

12:39 - And the best seats in the synagogue, and the upper rooms at feasts:

12:40 - They are guilty of robbing widows of their homes and they make a mockery with their long and showy prayers; for this they will receive more exacting punishment.
