The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Mark 9:11-20

Mark 9:11 - Why say the scribes that Elias must first come?, they asked.

Mark 9:12 - When asked he told them Elias will come and restore all and everything. It is written that the Son of Man will suffer and be set at none.

Mark 9:13 - But I am telling you is this, Elias has truly already come and they have done to him what they would, just like it was foretold in the scriptures.

Mark 9:14 - And when he came to his disciples, he saw a great host of people around them, and the scribes questioning them.

Mark 9:15 - And when the people saw him, they were astonished and they all ran to him and greeted him.

Mark 9:16 - And he asked the scribes: What bothers you about them?

Mark 9:17 - A person in the crown said, Lord, I have brought my son to you who is mute.

Mark 9:18 - And wherever he goes, he tears at himself. And he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and grieves, wasting away. And I told your followers they should not turn him away, and they in fact could not.

Mark 9:19 - He answered, O faithless generation, how long will I remain with you? How long will I have to put up with you? Bring him to me.

Mark 9:20 - He was brought to him, and, when he saw him, he immediately fell to the ground and began to foam at the mouth.
