The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Mark 7:21-30

Mark 7:21 - Every man has evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, in his inner heart.

Mark 7:22 - These characteristics make up a bad friend: stealing, lying, and tainted morals.

Mark 7:23 - People are made unholy by the thoughts and ideas that they carry in themselves, not from outer things.

Mark 7:24 - He went into a house at the borders of Tyre and Sidon hoping that no one would know, but everyone knew where he was.

Mark 7:25 - A particular woman, whose young daughter was rather immoral, heard about him and begged at his feet.

Mark 7:26 - The woman was a Greek of Syrophenician descent, and she begged him to exorcise her daughter.

Mark 7:27 - Jesus said to her, Let the children eat first; for it isn’t right to take their bread and feed it to the dogs instead.

Mark 7:28 - She answered, Yes, Lord: the dogs eat the children’s crumbs.

Mark 7:29 - And he told her, because you said this your daughter is freed from the devil that had control of her.

Mark 7:30 - When she got home, she found that the devil had left and her daughter was laying on the bed.
