The Turker’s Gospel

The Bible According To Mechanical Turk Workers

Revelation 2:1-10

Revelation 2:1 - As it was written to the church of Ephesus, by he who holds seven stars in his right hand and who walks among seven golden candlesticks. [Turker's Comment: A Biblical reference to Revelations;]

Revelation 2:2 - I am familiar with your work, the work you have accomplished, you’re ability to be patient with people, and how much you hate those who do evil deeds: also, I am aware that you have tested people who claim to be helpers, but do not act accordingly,; [Turker's Comment: This sounds like a Bible verse in which God is telling someone he is well aware of their actions and the works they have done in their life.]

Revelation 2:3 - And was born, has patience, and has worked for my name’s sake, and has not given out. [Turker's Comment: This person has worked hard and not given up.]

Revelation 2:4 - I do not like you leaving your first love. [Turker's Comment: The person obejects to the person leaving his first love.]

Revelation 2:5 - Know your place and serve humanity. If you don’t, I’ll open up a can of whup-ass on your candlestick (you wouldn’t want that, would you?). [Turker's Comment: Some authoritarian diety keeps demanding repentance.]

Revelation 2:6 - But you have done this, you hate the actions of the Nicolaitanes, which I also hate. [Turker's Comment: They both dislike the actions of the Nicolaitanes.]

Revelation 2:7 - If you can listen, listen to what the Spirit is saying to the church; For those who make it through they will eat from the tree of like that is in paradise. [Turker's Comment: Make it through and you will get rewarded.]

Revelation 2:8 - And write this message to the angel of the church in Smyrna; This was said by the one who is first and last, and who was dead but is now alive;; [Turker's Comment: He is sending a message to the church that Jesus is alive.]

Revelation 2:9 - I know your words, your struggles, your impoverishment (even though you are rich) and I know the lies that come from those who pretend to be Jews, but are instead in the synagogue of Satan.

Revelation 2:10 - Don’t worry about what is to come. The Devil is going to test you for ten days, maybe even kill you. But it’s alright because if you are faithful you will be rewarded with the crown of life. [Turker's Comment: Don't worry about the future, it can hold some bad stuff, but know that in the end if you are faithful you will be rewarded.]
