Revelation 1:1 - The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which is given by God, will come and will be delivered by an angel unto John, who will show the servants. [Turker's Comment: Biblical reference to the soure and spreading of the news of the Revelation.]
Revelation 1:2 - Who wrote down exactly what God said, Jesus Christ’s declaration, and every entity he saw. [Turker's Comment: I believe this is John speaking, who wrote the book of Revelation with God's guidance of what will happen in the future.]
Revelation 1:3 - If someone reads or hears this prophecy and follows it, he will be blessed: it is that time. [Turker's Comment: Follow this prophecy for salvation.]
Revelation 1:4 - John sent greetings to the seven Asian churches: Grace to you, and peace from him who is the present, past and future. Peace from the seven spirits before his throne;; [Turker's Comment: This sentence is a grandiose greeting which invokes God and his servants as a unified kingdom.]
Revelation 1:5 - And from Jesus Christ, who is the first to receive souls of the dead in Heaven, and first among the leaders of the world. To him that gave everything for us, by granting us forgiveness through his own death,; [Turker's Comment: Tells us that Jesus Christ is important, benevolent, and influential.]
Revelation 1:6 - We have become kings and priests for God and his Father; for him there will be glory and supremacy for all of eternity. Amen. [Turker's Comment: This is a prayer saying that we are all high up to God and God will always be righteous and glorious.]
Revelation 1:7 - Look, he comes through the clouds, and everyone will watch him, including those who stabbed him, and every race will weep because of him. Even so, Amen. [Turker's Comment: Biblical, on the coming of God.]
Revelation 1:8 - I am A and Z, the Beginning and the Ending, the Lord says,and I am and was and will ever be the Omnipotent. [Turker's Comment: God proclaims Himself to be the Prime Mover, and eternal. From Revelations.]
Revelation 1:9 - I’m your brother, John, who is right beside you, too, in your difficulties while we live in Jesus Christ’s territory by the patience he gives us, and I was on Patmos Island in order to share what God proclaims and what Jesus Christ tells about Himself. [Turker's Comment: John wanted to assure the readers of his letter that he is one of them, no different, and he understands trials, too. He was on Patmos Island while he saw true visions of the future, which he wrote in Revelation.]
Revelation 1:10 - I came in the presence of the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and behind me I heard a great voice like a trumpet. [Turker's Comment: The phrase is about being in God's presence and its like hearing a music of a trumpet in His presence.]
