Victor H. Krulak2007: Researched the childhood history and hidden family secrets of Marine Corps Lieutenant General Victor H. Krulak for an upcoming biography.

Chris Tucker2006: Researched the maternal ancestry of actor-comedian Chris Tucker for the PBS television series African American Lives.

1805 Georgia Land Lottery Book2004-2005: Published two reference books about the 1805 Georgia Land Lottery. Land lottery work recognized by Georgia Genealogical Society with award for “Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Genealogy” in December 2005.

Cemetery Documentation

Ongoing volunteer projects to publish burials in Atlanta’s Oakland Cemetery, contributing graves from cemeteries in my neighborhood to Find-a-Grave (my favorite cemetery website), and to document the location of every cemetery in DeKalb County, Georgia.

Maps

Produced maps included in the proposed Virginia-Highland design guidelines. Developed a map of DeKalb County, Georgia, showing patterns of post-World War II residential development in the county. View the map.

Books

1805 Georgia Land Lottery Fortunate Drawers and Grantees. Decatur, Ga.: The Genealogy Company, 2004. Documents the record of title transfer from the State of Georgia to an individual for each land lot distributed through the lottery process in 1805.

1805 Georgia Land Lottery Persons Entitled to Draws. Decatur, Ga.: The Genealogy Company, 2005. An index to the List of Persons Entitled to Draws for the 1805 Land Lottery, listing most of the households in Georgia in the year 1803.
