Chris Tucker

Christopher R. Tucker was born in Decatur, Georgia, on August 31, 1972, to Norris Tucker and Mary Tucker (Mary Bryant). Tucker graduated from Columbia High School in Decatur. He began his career as a standup comic, first in Atlanta, then in Los Angeles. His career in television began with his appearance in Russell Simmons' Def Comedy All Star Jam on HBO in 1992. His first motion picture appearance was as Johnny Booze in House Party 3. The movie Friday soon followed in 1995. He has played rolls in seven other movies since then -- most recently as Detective James Carter in Rush Hour (1998) and Rush Hour 2 (2001).
